nuPROTO started this business to help our fellow engineers, inventors, artists, and hobbyists innovate. We realize that one of the most exciting aspects of modern rapid prototyping is the continued advances in 3D printing. There is a much larger appeal for this technology as it becomes more affordable, and we are equipped to provide you a print that is both cost effective and highly detailed.

Save as .STL file: For fastest and cheapest service, we'd prefer receiving a .STL of your 3D model. If you cannot provide the standard .STL file type used by 3D printers, we can convert virtually all 3D file types to the correct format for you.
Use watertight, non-manifold model: The model must be fully sealed, with a minimum thickness of 1mm. The biggest issues in printing can be resolved by ensuring the model meets these requirements.
Choose the details: Whether you provide us with the model ready for printing, or consult us to develop a physical print using concept sketches and technical descriptions, details like color and type of material will be requested as well.
Estimate costs: We pride ourselves in selling quality prints for the best price possible. Charging around $1.00 per gram of material, the price mostly depends on the print's final size, and if any additional work is needed before printing. Quotes are freely available.
